The Johnston Sisters

In my travels this past summer, I encountered a lot of different people, but it is safe to say that there was nobody like these group of girls. You would think by simply looking at this picture that these girls are taking their friend out during their bridesmaid weekend, but nope you are wrong! Say hello to the five Johnston sisters.

This was a special day for me. My entire life I have wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. It was finally the day where I would get to do just that. I remember getting off the train about a mile out away from the Eiffel Tower, so we had a bit of a hike. On our way, we got to see what the beautiful city of Paris is all about. I was simply just taking everything in, then all of a sudden, I see five bright red wigs pop up. The Johnston Sisters. My first thought was that they are just having a good time on a bachelorette party, but I was sadly mistaken.

These group of girls literally travel from big city to big city wearing ridiculous costumes, all while charging people to take pictures with them. The funny thing is that it works. Of course I gave them money for this selfie, but then I got to talk with them and really figure out why they do this. If you are expecting some heartfelt story, you are not going to get it. The Johnston Sisters simply like to travel and meet people. So every few months, they find time they can all get off from work and visit different cities in ridiculous costumes. Some of them were married, but they all said their husbands approved because they are living in the moment.

Their overall lesson to me was that no matter how old you get, you can still be adventurous and go explore the world and the people in it.
